What we collect, what we do with it, and what we’ll never do with it.
Effective July 17, 2026What we collect
What you give us. If you use the contact form, that’s your name, company name, email, phone if you choose to share it, what you tell us about the work, and your rough timing. If you call or email instead, it’s whatever you say and your contact details. The site also records basic visit data through Google Analytics, covered below.
What we use it for
To reply to you, to understand the work you’re asking about, and to do that work if we end up working together. Nothing else.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your information. To anyone, for anything.
- Add you to a newsletter or a follow‑up sequence. One inquiry is one conversation.
- Share your information for marketing, ours or anyone else’s.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how people find and use this site: which pages get visited, how visitors got here, what kind of device they’re on, and their general area, down to the city. It uses cookies to tell one visit from another. It doesn’t give us your name or anything you type into the contact form, and we don’t use it for advertising. Google handles this data under its own rules: here’s how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To opt out, block cookies in your browser or use Google’s opt‑out add‑on.
Where your information lives
In the ordinary tools that run a small business: our email, our phone, the hosting that serves this site, and Google Analytics for the visit data above. Those providers handle data the way any email or hosting provider does. We don’t maintain marketing databases, and we don’t upload your information to advertising platforms.
How long we keep it
As long as the conversation or the work needs, plus ordinary business records if we’ve worked together. If we never end up working together, there’s nothing to keep and no list you’re sitting on.
Your choices
Ask us what we have about you and we’ll tell you. Ask us to correct it or delete it and we will, unless a legal or accounting record requires keeping it. One email does it: austin@pinetree.systems.
Children
This site is for business owners and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes here and the effective date updates.
